Bomb Squads and Geocaching

I got this KHQ News blurb today from the mighy HistoryHuntress

Here’s the blurb…

“Bomb Squad responds to report of suspicious device”

‘The Spokane Bomb Squad was called to the scene of a suspicious device in North Spokane. It turned out to be Geo-cache. It was discovered attached to a mailbox near the intersection of Country Homes Boulevard and Highway two.’

My brother An0maly and I investigated. It turns out that the cache that was found by the squad was one owned by the infamous Trever and Kate. It is the Dinner and a Movie: Star Wars – A New Hope microcache. As of now, the cache has not been archived and as far as I can tell, no laws were broken.

I just thought my other Geocaching friends, including the ejamukaydid bonjee-chord, might want to know…

  1. Oh, and the cache has now been archived. Farewell, new hope! You were such a happy “Dinner and a Movie.”

In memory, I am reposting their breakfast recipe for this series cache. THE RECIPE IS FROM TREVOR AND KATE!

“The recipe: Millennium Falcon French Toast

3 Hawk-bat eggs (or any other eggs you might think about using)
¾ cups Nerf milk (use milk)
1 tbs. ground Dewback scales (or sugar, whichever you like)
½ to ¾ tsp. Kessel spice (or cinnamon, whatever sounds better)
¼ tsp. Krayt dragon extract (I normally use vanilla)
1/8 tsp. Kessel salt (maybe just ‘salt’?)
    8 slices of sandwich bread
    1/8 tsp. Glitterstim (or nutmeg)

Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Mix together all ingredients (except the bread, of course) until well combined.

Soak each slice of bread in the mixture. If there is any left over, drizzle it overtop of the toast. Place all of the slices on a regular cookie sheet.

Bake for 5 to 8 minuets; flip them, making sure the bottom is golden brown, and cook for 2 to 4 more minuets. Enjoy!”

  2. Dang. And I just tossed my Krayt dragon extract in the move. It was looking cloudy, and the date stamp had passed a ‘long long time ago’.

Ah well, vanilla it is, then.
